Shane Enriquez, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Shane Enriquez attended California State Fullerton, where he received his degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. He knew he could help more if he worked hands on with patients and went to the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Cerritos College. He received his degree as a PTA in 2021, where he earned accolades for academic and clinical excellence as a manual therapist. He also holds a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) certificate and has completed Level 1 Define Mentorship. He has been working at a local Physical Therapy clinic in Laguna Niguel, CA since 2017 and has been weight training half his life.
His commitment to innovation and learning is evidenced by his ongoing participation in a 6-month course led by USC professor, Dr. Chris Powers, Specializing in Advanced Lower Quarter Biomechanics. This initiative ensures that he remains at the forefront of his field, equipped with the latest knowledge to provide unparalleled care.
He enjoyed playing basketball at a young age but transitioned into competitive wrestling during high school and has been consistently weight lifting ever since. He currently loves strength training; the only significant time away from the gym was during his own injury rehab from a distal biceps tendon tear. This injury helped start his passion for physical therapy, making it his career path.
In summary, Shane’s multifaceted experiences in sports, including football, powerlifting, run analysis, wrestling/mixed martial arts (MMA), and his dedication to geriatric rehabilitation, coupled with his personal journey through injury and recovery, uniquely positions him as a compassionate and versatile professional.
